From Alaska to Arizona

The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.

Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Carrie, and I’m so happy you’re here!  I am a frontline medical worker, wife and mom of 3 kids.  I began knitting as a creative outlet, and to make unique gifts.  Now that my loved ones’ closets are busting with beanies, it’s time to share these items with others.

I believe in merino wool.  I grew up in Alaska and love adventures.  Even now living in Arizona, adventuring often means activities in colder climates like Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon in winter.  After decades of trial and error, I’ve found the most effective (and least smelly) way to stay warm is in merino wool.  I make each knit item to be useful for an adventure, and stylish enough for everyday life.

My values are simple:  love of life & our earth.  I only use premium merino wool which is ethically sourced and environmentally sound in its production.  I purchase wool from companies who provide a fair wage to their employees.  The hand made faux leather tags and faux fur pom poms I purchase from other makers with this ethic in mind.  I use recycled packaging materials as well, so you can feel good about purchasing these products.

Community is vital.  I’m an unapologetic introvert.  I love my quiet time knitting and running.  As much as I need this time to feed my soul, community with others is important for a sense of connection and belonging…and this is a safe place for all.  I’d love to connect with you via Instagram.  Not a social media fan?  Let’s connect over email.
